Miro Kuzmanović (b.1976) is an Austrian photographer, raised in the former Yugoslavia. In his photographic practice, he engages in an existential exploration of the documentary approach. Shaped by his personal history, he views photography as a means of insight rather than an assertion of objective truth.
His first book, Signs by the Roadside (self-published in 2021), offers a deeply personal and emotive perspective on the former Yugoslavia, reflecting on identity, migration, and memory. The book was nominated for the Rencontres d'Arles Book Award in 2022.
